Dr Teng is widely recognized as a turnaround CEO in Asia by the news media. He has been interviewed on the national media on many occasions on the subject of corporate turnaround and transformation. such as the Channel NewsAsia, News Radio FM 93.8, Malaysian Business Radio, Edge Radio (USA), the Boss Magazine, Economic Bulletin, the Today, World Executive Digest, Lianhe ZaoPao, StarBiz and the Straits Times.
Dr Mike Teng is the author of the book “Corporate Turnaround: Nursing a sick company back to health”, in 2002 which is also translated into the Bahasa Indonesia. It was one of the top selling management books then. In 2006, he authored another book entitled, “Corporate Wellness: 101 Principles in Turnaround and Transformation.” Both of these books are translated into Mandarin. He also published in 2007/2008 five books, namely entitled: Internet Turnaround: The Use of Internet Marketing to Turnaround Companies; Training Manual: Corporate Turnaround and Transformation Methodology; Link Baiting to Improve Your Page Ranking on Search Engines and Corporate Turnaround: Global Perspective and The Fundamentals of Buying and Selling Company. In 2009, he authored three other books, What we can learn from the animals about office politics, Corporate Wellness: Spiritual and secular principles in corporate transformation and Jesus: The Corporate Turnaround Expert.
His online seminar is featured in 120 countries through Succcess University, IGlobalLearning and SkyQuest Com. He is the top five author on www.buildyour ownbusiness.biz. He is a certified Practising Management Consultant by the Singapore government.
He has 28 years of experience in corporate turnaround, strategic planning and operational management responsibilities in the Asia Pacific. Of these, he held Chief Executive Officer’s positions for 18 years. Dr Teng is the current Managing Director of Corporate Turnaround Centre Pte Ltd, a firm that provides advisory service and training to corporations.
Dr Teng served as the Executive Council member for fourteen years and the last four years as the President of the Marketing Institute of Singapore (2000 – 2004), the national marketing body. Dr Teng holds a Doctor in Business Administration (DBA) from the University of South Australia, Master in Business Administration (MBA) and Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering (BEng) from the National University of Singapore. He is also a Professional Engineer (P Eng, Singapore), Chartered Engineer ( C Eng, UK) and Fellow Member of Chartered Institute of Marketing (FCIM), Chartered Management Institute (FCMI), Institute of Mechanical Engineers (FIMechE), Institute of Electrical Engineers (FIEE), Marketing Institute of Singapore (FMIS) and Senior Member of Singapore Computer Society (SMSCS).
